In an interview with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), Pattinson spoke about when he found out that Willem Dafoe would be his costar for the 1890s period piece. Playing one of the two lighthouse keepers on an island, Pattinson seems to work effortlessly in combination with the shady black-and-white cinematography.
